What people ask about cost
Is the price really fixed?
Yes. We quote a single figure for an agreed scope, and that figure does not move unless you ask for something that was not in the scope — in which case we quote that separately before doing it. We do not bill by the hour.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Every project is billed against milestones rather than upfront, so your payments track delivery. For larger projects we can spread payments further across the schedule — ask during the consultation.
Why are prices shown in my currency?
Because comparing a real number in the money you actually spend is more useful than converting in your head. Prices are set in pounds sterling and converted at a rate we review quarterly; the figure on your written quote is the one that is contractually binding.
What is not included?
Third-party costs that belong to you rather than to us: ISBN purchase if you want your own block, advertising spend, printing costs for physical stock, and premium stock imagery if you specifically request it. All of these are itemised in the quote, never added afterwards.
Do you offer a deposit refund?
If we have not started work, yes, in full. Once work has begun, you keep everything delivered and paid for to that point with rights assigned, and we stop. You are never locked into paying for work you no longer want.
What authors say afterwards
I came with eleven years of workshop notes and no idea how to make a book out of them. The outline stage alone was worth the fee — it was the first time I could see the shape of what I actually knew. The finished book reads like me on a good day.
I had three self-published titles that were not selling. They showed me my covers side by side with the top forty in my category at thumbnail size and I understood the problem in about four seconds. New covers, re-optimised listings, and the back catalogue started moving.
Writing about my mother's illness was not something I could do alone. The interviews were handled with real care, and they were clear from the start about what would be in the book and what would not. My family have all read it. That matters more than sales.
